Ingredients

  1. 4 Tbsp unsalted butter (1/2 stick)
  2. 3/4 cup sugar
  3. 3 medium-size ripe bananas, peeled and rougly chopped
  4. 1 egg
  5. 1/3 cup yoghurt
  6. 2 cups white flour
  7. 1.5 tsp baking powder
  8. 0.5 tsp baking soda
  9. 1 tsp coarse salt or 0.5 tsp table salt
  10. 1 cup chocolate chips or chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Preheat oven for 350ºF.
  2. Cream the butter into the sugar.
  3. Add the bananas and process until thoroughly mashed.
  4. Add egg and yoghurt until well combined.
  5. Mix dry ingredients together in a separate bowl, then add slowly to the wet ingredients until flour is moistened.
  6. Pour batter into 9-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350ºF for 1 hour. Let rest in the pan 10 minutes before turning out and cooling on a rack.
