Ingredients

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 + 3/4 cup pecans
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1/2 cup almonds
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup brown rice syrup
  • 5 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp orange extract or zest
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Combine olive oil, brown rice syrup, orange zest, and vanilla in a small pot and warm until combined into a loose fluid.
  2. Combine oats, nuts, salt, sugar, and spices into a large bowl.
  3. Pour warm liquid over the dry ingredients. Stir until completely coated.
  4. Spread coated mixture thinly onto oiled sheet pan(s).
  5. Cook in a 250ºF oven for 45 minutes, flip to evenly brown, and cook for a final 45 minutes (90 minutes total) or until dried to your liking.

For maximum delicious, eat with maple yogurt.
